Another holiday, another coloring poster from The Play School Project! We love these for family gatherings, parties, or just to keep the kids entertained while they wait for the fireworks to start. In case you haven’t printed one of these before, the cheapest way to do it is to take it to your local office supply store. I have used both Staples and Office Depot with ease. This can be done online as well! Instead of printing it as a poster which will cost you an arm, leg, and kidney, you will print it as a blueprint. You can print a 24×36 inch blueprint for under $7 after tax. They usually have this ready same day, but it is best to give them a couple of days just in case. Then just grab the coloring supplies and let the kids go to town! We have been trying out some different coloring supplies, so I will link below some that we actually have loved and bought multiple times.

- Betem Acrylic Markers– I personally don’t have a problem with my kids using these even though they are young. They are not the most washable, but they make very vibrant colors and kids don’t have to press down and destroy the tip of the marker like they do with the basic crayola washables.
- Paint Sticks– These are great for toddlers. They are chunky and easy to hold on to, and they are super washable. They are really satisfying to use as well. They glide on smooth like a glue stick.
- Gel Crayons– My son got these for his birthday and they have been the latest obsession at our house. They are like the paint sticks but less messy. The only reason I still recommend the paint sticks above is because my toddler presses way to hard with the gel crayons and it isn’t as big of an issue with the paint sticks. But these gel crayons make such good color strokes and are smooth to use.
