About Us
Hey there! I’m Brooke — the brains (and tired mom hands) behind The Play School Project.

I started this blog because, like many parents, I once found myself knee-deep in Pinterest boards, frantically Googling “easy activities for kids that don’t involve glitter.” I spent hours curating, crafting, and planning all sorts of fun things to do with my little ones—at home, on road trips, in the kitchen, you name it. Eventually, I realized… all that effort deserved more than just a gold star from my 5-year-old. So, The Play School Project was born.
This blog is your one-stop shop for all things kids. That means:
- Homeschool lesson plans that actually make sense
- Independent activities to keep your little ones busy enough to not ask for a snack every 5 minutes
- Family fun ideas that don’t require a second mortgage
- Parenting hacks because you deserve shortcuts
- Travel tips that actually help
- Cooking with kids that doesn’t end in a flour explosion (most of the time)
- And free printables to save you time on Canva.
You’ll also find “best of” lists — the best games, toys, clothes, and deals — because ain’t nobody got time to scroll through 1,000 Amazon reviews.
Whether you’re a homeschooler, a road-tripping parent, or just someone trying to survive until bedtime, you’re welcome here. So grab a snack (one you don’t have to share), look around, and let’s make raising kids a little more fun and a lot less stressful.
You’ve got this. I’m just here to make it a smidge easier.
❤️ Brooke
